Review of Toy Story That Time Forgot (2014) by Shawn S — 24 Jan 2016
Get out there and sparkle!
Some of the Toys from Toy Story are selected to go on a play date with the little girl who owns them. They meet some new toys who have a different perspective on what being a toy mean. A new dinosaur with the toys has a crush on one of her toys and teaches him what being a toy means in her life.
"The joy that you give others is the joy that comes back to you.".
Steve Purcell, codirector of Brave, delivers Toy Story That Time Forgot in his first solo major motion picture. The storyline for this is worthwhile, fun, and well delivered but very short. The characters were entertaining as was the overall story and conclusion. All the main voices return for this film including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Emily Hahn, Wallace Shawn, and Kristen Schaal.
"What planet is he from?".
"Neptune...or maybe Florida...".
This was recently added to Red Box so we grabbed it to watch over a snow cast weekend. This was pretty good and worth watching. We were disappointed it was so short, but the action and dinosaur warrior theme was cool. I recommend giving this a viewing.
"He plays there but I rule here.".
Grade: C+.
