Review of Transcendence (2014) by Dave J — 20 Sep 2014
It was a good visual movie with some of the best pure thrills and jaw dropping moments I've seen this year. This movie has a huge sprawling feel to it, that is also contained and tidy. It has some stunning visuals, good story, silliness, comedy, pulpiness, thrills, jokes and even some off-earth stuff (stuff that doesn't happen on the ground or in the sky but rather farther out which may, for the "far out man" type old guys, it may seem pretentious but it fit my mind perfectly).
It was great, for me. For me, this is an excellent movie and certainly challenging, but I guess I'm in the minority of goofs that are out of touch with more universal type stuff which isn't for me (universal stuff and that kind of sci-fi).
It's not always about "the void" for me, as it is for the universe students, as for me, I never stepped foot in the university and well, I still liked this movie. A lot. For being more of a real, cool movie without a lot of pushing the papers around.
