Rise of the Beasts is a bit better then the last MB movies. The story is very cliché. Bumblebee was much better. Yes, I think the narrative is closer to the first two films. Is it better ? Not really, it just follow on the same path.
The action is fine. The CGI is still a bit much. I like the final battle, but maybe less the first hour. There are some pacing issues. I found the movie really slow down a lot after an hour. The music didn't always fitted with the scenes.
Good sounds. I give it 65%. It is an ok movie, less messy then an actual Micheal Bay movie. Maybe fans of the Autobots will find something there to enjoy.
