Review of Triangle of Sadness (2022) by Bertobellamy — 26 Jan 2023
This is 'Don't Look Up' all over again. I liked "Force Majeure," and I think 'The Square' was not that bad, but 'Triangle of Sadness' is an ugly movie with little to no subtlety. Making fun of the rich is always good, but Ruben Östlund takes all the fun of it with a dull and pretentious tale about social hierarchy.
I can't believe this won the Palme d'Or and is a Best Picture nominee at the Oscars. Disgraceful.
