Time will vindicate this most worthy sequel. 1982 was a simpler time. And a kinder one. Many of us loved the original. This sequel is a fine film in its own right and deserves more respect than it gets.

I am very moved and greatly entertained every time I watch it. It's musical score is superb. The visuals are gorgeous and it is an apt reflection and expansion of the source material. If you have never seen it then give it a go and if you saw it before and jumped on the hate train then give it another chance and try to see it through the eyes of your inner child.
