Review of Two Days, One Night (2014) by Kilo D — 03 Jan 2015
After reading the reviews, I was hyped to watch Two Days, One Night. However, I was sorely disappointed. This movie had potential until it decided to fill up the majority of it's running time with the same scenes repeated multiple times.
Although Marion Cotillard gives a strong performance as Sandra, the character herself is one note and uninteresting, leaving Cotillard little to do other than cry and look sad. This film is emotionally detached, and as I watched it in the theater I noted that most of the audience lacked mutual interest.
The pacing is horrendous and even the cinematography and visuals are bland and uninspired. Two Days, One Night has an interesting premise executed in an amateurishly dull way, and it is the first film I have seen in over a year that genuinely made me feel like I wasted my time.
Avoid and save your money.
