Review of Unbroken: Path to Redemption (2018) by Mark H — 15 Dec 2018
I've always shied away from faith-based films because of the poor quality of writing and acting, but "The Case for Christ" was a pleasant surprise. So I gave this one a shot as well, and it did not disappoint.
The only complaint was how they cast Billy Graham; I had eagerly anticipated that part of the movie, and was all but horrified to see a mutated version of Jim Carrey with Crest Strips left on his teeth.
It was disturbing and bizarre. But as the movie went on, it wasn't so bad (if you try not to look at the teeth). I don't know what the producers were thinking. However, I would not let that deter you away from this film; it was otherwise very well done and the message came across loud and clear.
I think it still has the potential to be life-impacting. Make sure you watch the real life interviews at the end.
