Review of Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009) by Pan C — 18 Mar 2013
The best of all six films made so far, at least of the five sequels. Ignores all that came before it to be yet another part two. But in this one, Jean-Claude van Damme actually plays the character you expected him to end up as at the end of the first movie.
Although the storyline is simplistic and the way they worked in Dolph Lundgren was extremely contrived at best this is the first entry that really manages to break out of the Shadow of the Terminator franchise.
What is has going for it are good acting, gritty action and a general setting that gets you in the right mood.
