Review of Unleashed (2005) by Robert R — 30 Sep 2018
Much like Luc Besson's screenplay for "The Professional," his script for "Unleashed" delivers yet another tale of a criminal underworld denizen longing for an unexpected life of kindness and care.
And also much like "The Professional," "Unleashed" contains just the right amounts of both pathos and action to satisfy all the right parts of the audience's palate. This is a crowd-pleasing, brilliantly choreographed actioner, with terrific performances from everyone involved and a genuinely thrilling final act.
Not sure why this one got such lukewarm reviews back in '05, for it's one of the better martial arts films seen and an excellent time overall.
