Review of Up in the Air (2009) by John B — 01 Jan 2012
It's weird to call it an adaptation, as it's nothing like it book, but that isn't necessarily terrible; Reitman uses the concept to build his own film, lead by Clooney at his best, questioning the concept of home and the necessity of family, wrapped up in the story of a man who fires people for a living.
It fails spectacularly as an adaptation, but more importantly, it succeeds brilliantly as a film.
