Review of Us (2019) by Jpalp — 27 Jul 2019
I was expecting much more out of this movie after enjoying "Get Out" so much. The hard truth is that "Us" fails to connect on even the most base level. It makes no sense how or why any of the events are transpiring.
They "explain" it kind of but it's still nonsense. The ultimate twist/reveal was so hackneyed and predictable I almost schvitzed. Acting was good and the cinematography was good but the overall story and execution simply left too much to be desired.
