Review of Valley of the Dolls (1967) by Floyd C — 10 Nov 2010
Tame, probably even back when it was first released. It has way too much run time and lacks way too much story to really be enjoyable and I found myself having to mentally prevent myself from walking away to do the dishes or vacuum.
Parkins and tate were decent, if not slightly removed, but Duke was horrid and over-the-top. Ironically, it makes her scenes in the film watchable and helps amp up the films camp value, which is pretty weak overall.
I saw it mainly because I love Sharon Tate and it came in a collection I just bought, otherwise I'd never have watched. It's nothing special so don't feel too bad if you've missed it.
