What I expressly feared in my review of the original Venom came to pass with the sequel: the studio continued to shy away from a true R rating and managed to make a Carnage movie with no carnage whatsoever.
Meanwhile, what this all boils down to is a repeat exercise in "Eddie and Venom bicker, then do battle with another, meaner symbiote." Even Woody Harrelson is nowhere near enough to make this an interesting watch.
