This is what we stumble upon while trawling through late-night HBOs stuff. Well, it has Bruce and Thomas Jane so it can't be bad right? Ak. What a mess of an "on the nose" script. Someone pitched this? Someone spent millions of dollars to make this?? I thought I had a good stomach for violence but this was too much.
A precursor to HBO's Westworld (which was itself too violent) and leaning heavily on Blade Runner I figured this would be a good late-night Sci-Fi distraction but I was dead wrong. Bruce is miscast, Jane looks like Christopher Lambert from Highlander with greasy, lank long hair.
Willis should have been the cop, he's not a corporate Elon Musk kinda guy. If he'd worked on the script instead of just taking the cash there might have been some sort of film here but it's a road wreck and really hard to watch.
I ended up fast-forwarding to the end.
