The characters are uni-dimensional, the acting mediocre and - worst of all - the movie is built on an appealing concept, but it doesn't even start to dive into it, it doesn't present any interesting situation involving the "artificials" nor point out anything about controversial themes like cloning, artificial intelligence or heavy bio-engineering.
