Review of Victor Frankenstein (2015) by Benjamin K — 18 Jan 2017
I thoroughly enjoyed the first half hour of the production. From there however, in spite of 'lively' acting and excellent production and set design, the irony of this age-old monster is that it is ultimately defeated by its lackluster writing.
Though it doesn't live up to Mary Shelley's original and won't stand up very well to scrutiny of its plot as portrayed on-screen, the performances of Radcliffe, McAvoy (admittedly guilty of some over-acting) and Scott make it an entertaining watch nonetheless.
