While the story is compelling and the effects are top notch, I was left disappointed with the final outing of this rebooted franchise. Ultimately, this can be boiled down to "War" being a victim of it predecessor's success.
Director Matt Reeves was not able able to, or simply refused, to build on the story that "Dawn" achieved. Reeves went for a more intimate contained story rather than the epic.
