Review of War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) by Jangasser — 24 Jan 2019

I regret that I didnt watch this in cinemas. Would've been awesome. Every time I watch a Planet of the Apes movie I start with a mindset "yeah this is gonna be an average Hollywood movie". And especially on this movie I was blown away. This movie has beautiful images, heartbreaking scenes (i had tears in my eyes, havent had that for a long time), a mindblowing stories and the Apes are animited beautifully like in the previous movies, but a little bit better than the last times.

This was my movie of the year 2017, together with Baby Driver. This is the best movie out of a great triology and a ending I didnt expect. In general the movie isnt really predictable and if you watch it with the regisseurs comments you now how much work and love they put in this movie. I rarely give a 10/10, but this movie really deserve it.
