Almost perfect. Not what I expected, in that there is very little ape army vs human army battle; much more adventurous and character driven. Serkis is magnificent, Oscar worthy if the Academy wasn't hung up on the special effects.
Bad Ape character adds welcome humor to a very tense two hours. And a shout to Woody Harrelson, whose acting is as dependable as a good toaster, just delivers what is called for in every role. Great movie.
