Review of We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) by Yash B — 14 May 2018
"We Need to Talk About Kevin" is a deeply unsettling and disturbing film. It is a fascinating experience to watch it but it becomes increasingly uncomfortable to watch, but that is the film's intent.
The movie tackled the nurture vs nature debate head on and it is unclear who is to blame for the ultimate outcome of the film. I think it is a movie that can be interesting to discuss and showcases some excellent performances from Tilda Swinton and Ezra Miller.
The movie pieces itself together in a unique way and you can't take your eyes off despite how bizarre the movie is. It's a creepy and fascinating look at family dysfunction gone extremely wrong.
