Puertoriquena WOMEN RISING. The women have all the sanity. The boys on both sides have no good sense. A PRO-IMMIGRANT movie. The women want to and work to get ahead; the males get pulled into the quicksand of violence. In 2021, I think no other movie equals the stature of movie-making craftsmanship, daring and competency displayed here. No one slacking off in any department. On-set morale looks like it was high. I believe about half the choreogaphy is new and striking. Best Picture of 2021?

If you have NOT seen the 1961 version, THIS IS A BIG ADVANTAGE. Spielberg makes a point of VISUALLY explaining the 1950s and the unhappiness of people were back then, to younger generations. I didn't see any VFX at all and I follow the field closely as a fan.
