West Side Story (2021) is one of the best musicals I've seen in a long time. The musical numbers rival or even surpass some of the original ones. The choreography is top-notch, you can not help but be in awe of the scale of some of these musical numbers, looking at you America.
The cinematography is some of the best work Speilberg has done in a long while. He has always been a sucker for using lighting to portray certain emotions. Highly recommended for both musical lovers and film geeks.
