What I learned today was how one aspect of a movie can nearly ruin the whole picture. Many things worked here: the editing and camerawork were solid, the actors were mostly decent, and the music was not bad either.

So what kills it? The writing and the story. I don't mind movies criticizing capitalism and (attempting) to promote anarchy; I love V for Vendetta. But what this movie contained were adults who act as if they never grew up from the idealism and immaturity of their teen lives and making poor decisions.

Even the police are inept (with the exception of the main officer who, for some reason, decides at the end that letting a group of people get away with bombing the basement with evidence for multiple police cases).

There is so much one-sidedness, stereotypes, and lack of logic in the actions of all the characters that it'd make a perfect comedy if I knew the characters were stupid. But everyone (including the writer and director) is passing their opinions and actions off as intelligent.

No. All it did was anger me and left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. My hate for the writing and the story trumped all over good aspects of the movie.
