Review of Whatever It Takes (2000) by Sean G — 06 Sep 2009
I had to watch this movie for a scholarly analysis of the works of James Franco I'm preparing. His scenes tied to a bed wearing only a G-string are pure Stanislavsky. However, the revelation in this movie is really Shane West. The incredible range he shows--wearing the tiny Furby T-shirt, the towel, at-bat (!) in the sweatpants, playing the accordion in boxer shorts--is remarkable and will require years of in-depth study.
An improbable mess, of course, but one star each for these two legendary performances. Or one-half star each for their glorious nipples.
