Review of What's Up, Tiger Lily? (1966) by Kenneth B — 30 Sep 2012
So Woody Allen re-dubs a Japanese spy thriller with the script of a comedy film concerning a man's mission to find an egg salad recipe. It sounds like an idea that should grow tiresome quite quickly, and evidently to some people it has.
I have to say that I laughed from start to finished and of Allen's most absurd work this is surely the most ludicrous, yet it works and perfectly sums up his subversive genius.
