Review of Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) by Liamexe — 23 Jan 2023
Acts two and beyond make up for the somewhat tedious first act. The actors and actresses give strong performances, especially the lead actress. Just by viewing the opening, you already know what happens at the end, so the movie doesn't waste your time in getting to it.
Thematically, I suppose, the ending makes sense, but at first I thought it was a little silly. However, the last few minutes truly pay off, giving off a kind of I didn't see that coming vibe. 7.5, it's a good watch, and I'm sure we'll see these actors, actresses, and production crew members again.
Additionally, this features the father from Stranger Things, so there's that.
