Review of Where the Heart Is (2000) by Micky C — 07 Jun 2009
Sure, the story may be predictable, cheesy, and a bit soap opera-ish, but don't let that keep you from enjoying this quaint, sweet little flick. Natalie Portman stars as Novalee Nation, a down-on-her-luck pregnant teenage girl who is left in a Wal-Mart parking lot in the middle of the country.
She ends up being taken in by the town after living in the Wal-Mart for a couple of months. Filled with heart-warming moments, no matter how corny, Where the Heart Is is worth watching many, many times.
