Review of White Noise (2022) by Touzokureikon — 03 Jan 2023

I didn't read the book so I don't care if it's accurate or not. What I do care about is that the movie tries very hard at tackling some serious social issues but ultimately succeeds only in one thing..

. Being boring. I didn't find any of the characters appealing enough to even remotely care about them and their troubles. The overall message of the movie seems shallow and unoriginal at best. The technical side of the production is pretty good and I have nothing against the actors and such.

.. But for anyone with more than a few brain cells alive it's going to be a repetitive snoozefest with an overplayed message about capitalism, existential fear and such. So yeah, the movie tries hard to be a lot of things but fails miserably.
