Review of Wizards (1977) by Terri H — 19 Dec 2008
What's weird is while I was watching this I was thinking, "What age is this aimed at??" The fairytale plot and dumb humor seemed to be pointing towards a younger audience, but the constant nipples showing through the clothes on every female character, Nazi imagery, and lines like, "I'm glad you changed your last name, bitch!" are rooted firmly in adult territory. Never mind the fact that the animation is terrible and the story is extremely simplistic yet still oddly confusing (I know, try explaining that one), Ralph Bakshi clearly only has mental maturity and originality of your average 12 year old boy, but still, not too many movies have red lasers shooting out of a winged lady's vagina.
