Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Kyle B — 08 Nov 2017
It worked as much as Captain America: The First Avenger worked for me. Its a compelling take on Wonder Woman's origin story. It has a central story but it's the emotions and sheer earnestness of Gal Gadot's performance that commands the viewers attention. Her level-headedness and charisma is what makes her a superhero that we will root for time and time again. The production values are great and the other supporting characters do enough to show support. The only shortcoming would be the dialogue/script in its earlier scenes but that's not enough to weigh down the scope of the entire film.
Also, I do have to add, this is the first DC film that actually looks good. Visually beautiful vs. the dark and murky colors of the other films.
