Do NOT like the story, in book form or cinematic form. Sorry. It's just so depressing, dark, full of bitterness. I mean, I was loving it in the beginning, when Heathcliff and Cathy were all lovey-dovey and together.
..but from then on...oy. No thanks. :/ (And I'm not the kind of person who is shallow, and only likes light, comedic, cheesy romantic things. I KNOW real life has this dark stuff in it, and some movies are alright or even great with that in it.
..but this one? No. Because there was no REDEMPTION or changing or getting better, ANYWHERE in sight! That's not ok, in my book.).
