Review of WXIII: Patlabor The Movie 3 (2002) by Anna B — 29 Mar 2014

I thought this was directed by Oshii (that's what the place that I rent DVDs from says) until I checked IMDb afterwards. And honestly these guys did a pretty good job emulating his style, even improving on it in a few ways (at least in terms of the Patlabor movies).

Great atmosphere, a weird but comprehensible plot with no ridiculous exposition dumps, excellent action and animation in general, and the pacing is just right. I love Oshii, but this is the best Patlabor movie I've seen.
