Review of You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023) by Jluis_001 — 25 Aug 2023
Adam Sandler and his production company, Happy Madison, have been associated with a considerable amount of mediocrity, leading viewers to no longer expect much from their films. At least that's my case.
These movies are what they are, and there seems to be no remedy in sight, especially since the general public continues to consume them avidly. But anyways, to each their own.
Surprisingly this film is not an outright failure and I think it will do better with young audiences who will identify with the material, whereas some adults might find themselves wearing the same expression of boredom that Adam Sandler showcases in several scenes.
Ultimately it all boils down to streaming irrelevance in what it appears to be an excuse for Sandler's nepotism to finally give his daughter a leading role after putting her in several of his films and thus positioning her on the scene in what hilariously perhaps was his own gift to her for her Bat Mitzvah.
Disposable content.
