Review of You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008) by Glomman — 24 Apr 2022
This movie is about an IDF-Supersoldier who quits his job of single-handedly fighting Lebanese terrorists to become a hairdresser in New York. Brilliant intercultural discourse ensues once he moves into a street where one side belongs to the Arabs and the other belongs to the Israelis.
It can get a bit too vulgar at times, but it's generally pretty funny, if you like blunt and offensive humour. Still, this movie is incredibly over-the-top, but really the only unrealistic thing happening is that the billionaire landlord who incites white nationalists to burn down the street's shops aactually faces consequences and gets arrested by the police.
